This is the first time we have visited your site in three years of ownership and are not surprised that the main topics of comment are generally negative towards the park management. My reason for visiting the site was actually to see what might be the best way to sell our van, despite several superb reasons for having a van overlooking Poole harbour and all it has to offer! We have eventually decided that the management should win - the concept of owners being able to come down on a regular basis at weekends for a stress free relaxing weekend is clearly a total anathema to senior management. I have lost count of the number of requests for action/information over the three years of our ownership. It seems to me that if you are an owner you are of no interest [to management] if you do not let your van and you are a damn nuisance of you do let your van and expect things to be done correctly !!
Just to prove the point, we asked for a [enquiry only] valuation on our van last Saturday, were told by sales staff that we would be rung on Monday and have still to hear anything, now Tuesday p.m.. - what a surprise! Even if we do still decide to move on I am sure senior management will do their very best to have the last laugh!!!!!!!
PS - from my wife, it seems such a shame since the location and amenities of Poole could make the park an absolute dream. PS - they did a good 'selling job' on us three years ago!
Feel better now,
Dave,
Have just received Gas & Electric Bills from BL.
On electric, I am being charged £65.15 availability charge, which is 4 times the amount of electricity consumed.
On gas, I am being charged an availability charge of £43.46.
which is a 1/4 of my consumed units. I do know this is shared out among all.
Question.
The easiest supply is electricity, lay the cable, connect, done.
Gas has to be ferried in, stored etc. Safety checks by site, (not owners checks).
So why is electricity attracting such a charge for availability?
Any update re the OFT/Poole Consumer concerning site fees?
Regards
Hi Dave
Would just like to make a comment that all owners with problems should also lobby people like the Consumer Association, Which, BBC Watchdog as the more that contact them the more chance of getting problems aired and letting other owners, who may not know that there are ways to problems sorted, they don't have to sit and take it or just give up on a (now expensive) lifestyle. Do you think Peter Harris, BL's owner is aware of all the problems that are happening in his company? We are still having problems but are not yet prepared to give up and die!! No one should, not for what we have worked hard and paid for
