As further proof of my theory that there is a positive move towards shortening the season that owners get proper use of the facilities here is the latest news from the park.
Breakfast for the last two weeks of the year rolls and croissants stale,
and in the case of the latter (28th Dec) many owners were told there wasn't to be a breakfast so didn't bother to book.
Due to the lack of a life guard, on the final weekend, the pool was closed without warning as was the Jacuzzi.
The standard of decorations in Hardy's didn't change from the pathetic sight that you saw. Nor was the string of lights that fell down from round
the window ever put back up again. Nice decorations in the OE Lobby though!
Excuse of the year - Laundrette closed and enquirers told a member of
staff had gone on holiday to Yorkshire with what is presumably the only key! It was obviously a very short holiday as it was opened later in the day.
The coup de gras was, despite several approaches to both the General Manager and the Complex Manager they were collectively incapable of ensuring that Hardy's was open on Boxing Night. (This despite it being advertised as an open night and that no facilities were required other than an open door and lights) Consequently several owners, some of whom had travelled back especially for a get together had their Xmas plans ruined.
On the plus side, the New Years Eve party was quite good, except for the
fire alarm which interrupted the festivities!
