Hi Dave, I have read with interest the remarks regarding the holiday owners haven which has turned to sheer hell, I agree with the remarks regarding staff and the help recieved or lack of it I should say, my husband is also disabled and we bought a new van at a cost of £38,000 in the first few months all was well but in the spring of this year we had a leak in the kitchen area whilst the van was still under warranty, the leak became a virtual constant flow of water to the extent other owners reported it to park security as did my own family members on different visits to the park, but needless to say not a thing done about it, result 1st week in July lounge area flooded carpet soaked and insuing battle begins. I was informed my warranty had run out on 30th June, when in fact I didnt take delivery of my van till 6th July in 2002, the park did get the van into stock in June but didnt complete siting till 5th July I arrived the next afternoon and the official handover was done which as far as I am concerned is when warranty between bourne leisure and ourselves started, the leak started end of April beginning May so was still in the warranty time but berwick refuse to accept responsibility and have advised me to claim the damage on my insurance which I refuse to do. Like the other unhappy owner I cant afford to sell as the inside of my van is ruined in the lounge carpet is mouldy underneath and I find myself £30,000 in debt because of staff who are all over you like a rash at the point of sale but dont want to know when there is a problem some advice would be helpful so any advice you have would be greatly appreciated I think iff I ever see berwick holiday site again it will be to soon.
Yours another very unhappy deep in debt owner from hell berwick holiday centre
Hi Dave .
Thank you for the information but unfortunately we have decided to sell our caravan a Berwick .
And at the moment finding it very hard to try and interest anyone. they all love the look of my 2001 bk sherdon but the min i mention where it sited there answerer is no even thought the site fees are payed for 2004.
We have now throw ourselves the Mercyf another Holiday Park and are trying to get them to buy our van to get it moved from Berwick its gonna cost us an
additional £6500 to get them to buy the van so that makes our losses even greater and that’s only if we can talk the manger of the new park to buy our van?
we are our wits end and feal like we have been in the wars we sent a letter to head office regarding all our complaints and surprise surprise no answer
Consumer advice said they could help us with our doubled glazed window that bBournesaid they had fixed and bye the way our van was sold to us in perfect condition according to our sales person
maybe he needs to borrow my spectacles because a double glazed window being broken is not perfect condition to me. we also eemailed watch dog and got a reply saying they would be in touch if they decide to investigate Bourne leisure
Wish some one would !
Bourne leisures answer to ever thing is ignore it....then the problem disappears or maybe they think they are above reproach on there treatment of there owners and holidaymakers.
If it wasn't for the owners Bourne would have a glorified butlins oh i forgot it is a glorified
butlins they bought butlins ages ago along with rank and haven lessons regarding manners and etiquette for some of Bourne's staff would not come a miss
What happened to the customer is always right in the industry of hospitality
what chance dose the ordinary person have its big company to try take on in court
All i wanted was a holiday haven as i said before its a HELL
will keep you all updated on our progress to try escape stalag 13 Berwick holiday center
still very unhappy Berwick
