Hi
Im writing to you in regard to this posting on the site. www.rockleypark.net/combehaven.html particularly this quote ".( Most of them now are "Sun Readers" holiday makers who reck your van and campsite")(Issue 4)
Now myself and my family of 6 have just finished a haven holiday with the sun on that site and im disgusted at whoever wrote this article ,i am disabled and unable to work so we survive on my wifes wage,the sun helping
was perfect for us to holiday for the first time with our children,and itotally disagree that becasue we are the "sun readers" then we must wreck everything and destroy others property,we treat the property to which we was
offered as if it were our own, and it and the people around are all treated with the upmost respect .
We are very very clean and tidy people that will and do treat others propertys with respect and leave it in the condition we have found it (although at our recent haven holiday at combe haven the van was left better
than it was when we arrived due to cleaning issues that we carried out of our own accord).
I think that the person whom wrote that is a very disillusioned person that obviously thinks that he/she is a cut above everyone else,just because we read the sun it doesnt mean that we are all bald headed thugs that destroy
everything in our path,some of us are just normal everyday people that are grateful of the offers that some tabloids produce,as im sure others are too I am at the moment looking to re-book back at combe haven again this time
next year again ,we had a 3 bed property and it was perfect for our needs the site is an excellent place that i would reccomend to anyone,i hope that you can contact the author and maybe educate them that we arent all as first

Do any owners know whats going on with the private gusets club fees rip off this year?

Here at Combe Haven they have a wonderful idea! ie. to charge for the caravan and not the guest, now I must admit iv`e personnally not seen any caravans in the pool or at the bar but I may have not been there at the time they visited.

The situtaion is two parents with say one grandparent and 3 children staying in a 2 bedroomed caravan will pay £66.00 for the week.

Two parents with say two mixed sex teenagers who require a 3 bedroomed unit will pay £88.00 for the week!

Is it me or is this totally illogical and unfair?

Hi Dave,
We were looking on the internet for advice about something to do with our caravan.We came across your site and as we own a caravan at Combe Haven we started reading your letters, we thought we were the only ones, obviously not. In June last year we decided to upgrade from a 4 star to a gold the van that they sold us as a gold was not one and never has been, we only found out in January when B.l Owners Exclusive informed us that our van would be a bronze this year. All B.l want us to do is buy another caravan telling us that we have to payout another £2000 deposit etc etc. Talk about a con, I can not say much more at present as we are still talking to them.
Can you or your friends give us any guidelines as to what we should do or what they would do if they were in this predicament. I have thought about going to Trading Standards and solicitors. I am having a meeting with sales at Combe Haven in early April to see what else they offer will keep you informed.
