Dave I recently asked for an insurance quote from NACO and they were very good and prompt with their reply but unfortunately more expensive than the price we are paying from B.L. But they did send a very interesting sample of their magazine...granted it was last summers issue. The reason for writing is to ask if you are a member of NACO. I think it would be very useful at £24 a year and you could pass on any information that was relevant
Hi all
Wonder if you can help me please .....how would I go about finding the price of caravan at this time? Is there a book price or a company that will tell you? (or a company that would help me sell on for the best price)
I have a caravan at Craig Tara in Ayr Scotland (I have been at Craig Tara for 2 and half years this is my third year) My Caravan was new in 2005 a Willerby Bermuda 8 berth (never been let out if that matters)
Whilst on the subject how what would be the best way to sell my caravan for the best price? Why would I wish to sell?......you may be thinking......Craig Tara has not lived up to my expectations in many ways. The park offers little for the money I pay every year (the Hilton Hotel would be cheaper J and a lot cleaner and more helpful)
I would say the standard of the park has gone down every year ( how far can it go is my thoughts So enough of a moan about the park ......any ideas would be greatly appreciated
If you would supply a phone number I would call back if this would help

I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully some others that need help.
We visited Rockley Park this bank holiday weekend with the intention of buying a van and renting a pitch to put it on. We had heard a lot of good things about this park and how popular it was. My daughter is expecting her first child later this year and myself and my wife thought it would be a nice idea to buy a mobile home that we could all use for family holidays and was reasonably close to our home as well.
We were introduced to a salesman called Mark who gave us a tour of the park and showed us several vans that were for sale. We looked at a few pitches as well and were told that there were only four available at this moment in time, I must admit that we were quite impressed with what we saw and Mark seemed pleasant enough and very popular with the owners.
We eventually decided on a "high premium" pitch that had sea views, which we were told had only become available in the last day or so and a pitch in this area to become available was very rare indeed, (A salesmans ploy I suspect). After a lot of haggling on price etc we agreed to put a deposit down on a 2006 van which was to go on the pitch that we had selected. The van would be available in about four weeks time, as it had to be transported from another site, for us to inspect and if we were not happy with it then we would get our full deposit back.
Since coming across your Rockley park owners site I am now beginning to have doubts after reading about the problems going on with BL.
Could you please give me your honest opinion as to what the owners at Rockley park really feel about having a van situated at this park as at this point in time I could still get my deposit back and we still have a few weeks before we commit fully to this purchase.
We would really still like to go ahead with this purchase but if there is a possibility that we have been lied to by a BL salesman, and we would be wasting our money, then we would not go ahead with this purchase and look elsewhere.
Any advice or help that you could give us before the van arrives would be greatly appreciated.
Just to let you know we have had the same problem with charges for items being broken and damaged by holidaymakers. Within two weeks in March at the start of the season, we had a bill from Bourne Leisure for £70 and we had left it if perfect condition just prior to it being let. I wrote a long complaint letter to the General Manager asking him what sort of people are they letting it to and how come a blind is approx £5.99 in B&Q and they charge £35 for a new one and £10 for fitting it ! Also we have had supposedly problems with our fire not working, bathroom heater not working, switch broken etc etc (all of which were working perfectly before). I have found the cleaners ok though.
He apologised and gave us £30 as a goodwill gesture! I feel they are totally greedy
