well for the 10 mins they broadcast this, the link tells you the same as the broadcast, nice to put faces to names from here.
but agree some sales folk are underhand
I spoke to Lucy this morning and it became apparant that BOURNE LEISURE legal team had put pressure on their broadcast. A lot of my interview was cut and there was no link to my web site on the Inside Out web site but a lovely advertising link for Bourne Leisure and Park Resorts.
It looks like everyone is scared of them but me.
I agree that it came across a bit 'sugar coated' in favour of the site owners.
Very disappointing.
Well, after all of the big build up, I wonder if everybody else feels a bit let down
and disappointed? I agree -
...and I bet that by the time most
viewers had got to the end of the next item about rescue dogs, caravan ownership
problems had been well & truly forgotten!!!
I am very, very disappointed. Especially as we know the sales teams on these park are not as 'up front' and the program suggested. In the end this program was a good PR for Bourne Leisure and did not reflect the actual feelings or show the distress it has caused to many owners past and present.
The BL legal team should have no power over what is broadcast as it was a impartial investigation, and would only represent the truth. I feel the truth was most certainly suppressed and I am very dissappointed in Lucy and her team.
If this is the best we can expect from the media to protect us, Bourne Leisure will be revelling in the knowledge that they can get away with highway robbery.
Overall, dissappointing
totally agree with ???? on this one, the programme was a let down for owners, especially after all the hype they received from members of the forum, i also was very disappointed in the few minutes they broadcast, i feel the BBC need to address this on one programme the truth that is of course, not sweep under the carpets.
Now here's something interesting...if you follow the link to the BBC's Inside out
article...have a look at the sidebar headed see also...guess what?....... there are
links to both Bourne Leisure and Park Resort websites.....BBC -
not
exactly investigative is it!??
The show was dissappointing , but not too much of a suprise as the B.B.C. are a mouthpiece of the state police ( Labour Government)
i went looking for the bbc inside out website and saw the heading asking if you are a caravan owner but saw nothing about caravans mentioned. If the web site was anything to go by then its not surprising you were all disappointed at the programme, which i couldn't see therefore cannot comment on.
what a shame after all that research.
The BBC as got a lot of problems at this moment with staff being moved on, so I would think it will not like to be put under too much presher from a big company like BL.
Here is a copy of an e-
Hi ????,
I was so sad to hear that the B.L. legal team has even got the power to intimidate the BBC and that your program and web site have actually promoted the offenders.
Caravan deprecitation is only the beginning of the problems owners are faced with.
I do not know if you have been on the caravan forum but I have taken the liberty
of passing them on to you.A similar vein is expressed on the e-
Hi
We also volunteered for the Inside Out programme, were interviewed (the BBC team
spending a whole morning at our home) and we talked of our experiences relating to
all sorts of issues regarding the management and running of Aldbrough Caravan Park

My interview on air lasted about 30 seconds and I wish they had not wasted my time. I have emailed the producer of the programme to voice my disgust and disappointment at their "softly softly" attitute to what, I feel, is a very serious problem which affects thousands of families who are entrapped on some of these sites. Many people are walking away and losing thousands of pounds and it is time this industry was more rigorously regulated. Their attitute is pay up or get off. We thank our lucky stars we are off this particular site.
No longer angry!!
Inside Out BBC.
Here is the feedback
From owners who watched the program
