Hi Dave -
We have just come to the end of our sublet with Rockley Park.
And although we specified in our 'OE Executive Partnership' arrangement that we need
to have a ' No Smoking, No Pets' sublet (our son suffers from asthma and eczema....
animal fur are a trigger) -
They obviously haven't even bothered to clean up after the last lot of holiday makers left.
This is appalling. We wrote to the Sublets and their unsatisfactory reply(via Sue Holland) was as follows...
Dear ???????????,
Thank you for your email, this has been forwarded to me as I am at Rockley Park itself, to look into the points you raise. I was very sorry to see that you are not entirely happy with the service you have received during the recent subletting of your holiday home.
We had noted your request not to have pets in the accommodation, however as advised
although we have done our best to abide by this it has not always been possible.
Your caravan is graded as a Bronze Olympic, which is a grade which would allow pets.
If we are fully booked in Bronze accommodations and each booking includes a pet,
then unfortunately we would have no choice other than to allow a pet into your caravan.
With regard to smoking in your holiday home; you are quite welcome to have notices
in the caravan requesting that guests do not smoke, however this is not something
that we can enforce as we do not currently sell any grade as specifically non-
We can ensure that signs requesting no smoking are put into your caravan before next season, and we can endeavour not to have pets in the caravan however unfortunately we are not able to guarantee this as your caravan will be graded as Bronze Olympic again next year.
I'm very sorry that the carpet in your caravan did not appear to have been vacuumed prior to your return; I'm not sure whether you reported this to Park reception at the time so that we could arrange for a member of the Housekeeping team to attend and rectify this for you.
Your deep clean has not yet been arranged for you; if you would like to advise us
of the date when you require this we will arrange this for you. This can be done
either before Christmas or when we re-
Is this legit ?? It is almost like 'we'll just ignore what you requested but pile
them in regardless'. And I can understand why -
My son is dreading going down to the caravan now because he knows he'll suffer worse than normal.
Just what can we do to ensure other Owner sublets do not have to go through this ?
Cheers
Hi
After reading your web page on owners association i have found it very informative, and would ask you for help and advice on how to start an owners association , we are owners of holiday homes at hopton holiday village, currently facing huge increases in site fees in the region of £1000.00
And after reading comments on your web page owners at hopton have and are facing identical problems
i have read one story on your web site, of someone asking who the chief executive is at bourne leisure his name is John dunford the big man himself is John cook we have recently written to both with our problems with no joy as yet. We are also running a petition at hopton for all owners to complain about the bad after sales ect ect plus the extortionate site fees for 2008,
If you feel that you can help us in any way it would be very much appreciated
I am keen to know how ownership works on a site like Rockley?
Are there restrictions as to how much time in the year you can spend on the site?
Presumably there are annual fees to pay on top of the purchase price and are you able to say what these would be?
Are there other fees to pay related to the purchase?
How long would the lease be for the plot?
Is there a rule that you have to have a new caravan on this plot every so often?
Hi
Can anyone give me some advice on someone we could use to drain down our caravan
for the winter?
I am at Haggerston Castle, and we have used them for the last 3 years,
but are not too happy with them
