As an ex GM of Rockley, Haggerston and Cala Gran Gran I was intrigued to pick up on your website.
I am not quite sure how up to date it is as the last posting appears to be 2006.
Some of the problems seem to be old hat too so I was wondering what your site is trying to achieve and if it is still live

I left Bourne Leisure 10 years ago and its interesting to note from your postings that its the same old problems

Residential status.
Because I have been out of the Industry since 1998 I guess I will be unable to advise on current BL policy and even Industry Standards but I am disappointed that after all these years these old chestnuts keep popping up.

Hi

My husband and I recently took jobs working as Caravan spring cleaners at Golden Sands, Mablethorpe. I can honestly say that they are the worst employers either of us have ever worked for. We are both so sorry that we signed off the unemployment register as had we not done so we would have walked out the first day.

Can I just say that we are both experienced caravan cleaners having worked for a smaller, independent company in the past. So its not the cleaning work we don't like its BL we don't like.

1. They give you the cheapest ineffective chemicals to clean with. We have resorted to buying our own just to make our lives easiers.

2. They expect you to turn a 10year old van into a brand new van in just 1 day if one person on the job and 1/2 day if two people are on the job. Absolutely impossible .

3. But by far the worst is the absolute contempt with which the housekeeping senior staff treat you. They can barely bring themselves to say good morning to you. We both feel like lepers.

We have been there three weeks now and it feels like three years. Very few of the existing returning housekeeping staff are happy there. The housekeeper seems to "control" the staff with intimidation and downright coldness.

Many of these people cannot work elsewhere as they do not drive or if they do do not have a car and as public transport is so poor in this town they are stuck with working there.

They deserve to be treated better.

BL are truly a most vile and contemptible employer .

My hubby and I are lucky we have a car and hope to get work elsewhere shortly but it cannot come soon enough.

Just thought you might like to know what its like being employed by them.

 

 

I am in the exact same position as many other previous owners from Rockley park.

i purchased my van on the constant reminder that i must offer the van back to Rockley first before i could sell it privately.

Rockley park did not want to by my van which was 2 years old by now.

i found a buyer privately but with Rockley parks charges made it impossible to sell.

i had no option but to default on my agreement which has left me with a ccj and a bad credit record.

is there any advise you can give me on how i may be able to clear this off my credit record.

 

can you please help is it right for bourne leisure to charge you a availabitiy charge for gas and electricty as they do not own meters or the gas pipes it is owned by tranco i have a van at another park owned by parkdean and they do not charge you this they say it is illegal can you help and put me right mnay thanks
