LITTLESEA
Dear Dave
Club membership fees are a sore point for all owners on all parks and I have asked Trading Standards at Hemel Hempsted to ask the following questions.
An owner is entitled to free club passes upto the berth of the unit owned, in my case 3 times 8 at Littlesea.
Why then am i paying again for passes wheh the units are hired out privately? The units are occupied by my guests who spend money in BL`s bars and shops (which i certainly do not).
Haven introduced a key handling charge of £5.00 which has now escalated out of all proportion with no ceiling on future cost.
I actively encourage guests to not take up club membership and instead use local faclities which are invariably superior and supports the local community where we enjoy? our caravan ownership.
I spoke to a lady yesterday from Littlesea she has 9 caravans of her own and lets out another 25 vans. Last year Bourne Leisure decided they wanted her off site. They said she had been forging passes and gave her 7 days to remove all 9 van's. Of course she had not but she had to take out a court injunction to prevent her vans been removed. In addition to this she turned up at one of her vans late on a Saturday night to find a family asleep in her van! As the site was full reception had taken a booking on one of her vans without telling her, and she didn't even let through the site. There seems no bounds to how low they will go, our passes have risen in one season from £57.00 per unit to £148.00 that's a hell of a rise.
Thank you so much for getting in touch and please pass me e mail address on. I will keep you informed. (e-mail address supplied)
Hi Dave I`ve just found your site and it makes very interesting reading, I have caravans at Littlesea and Combe Haven and the worst thing thats ever happened is Bourne Leisure which I reckon must be the most arrogant and worst run company in the country, our only saving is a decent GM at Littlesea.I used to recommend people to sales but now would not buy a pint of beer from them.
